Hey everyone!

This year's Iron Dragons paddlers will be leading workout sessions for those who may be interested in starting to get in shape, joining our dragonboat team, or want to try something new!

The workout sessions will be geared towards giving you a taste of the training that ID goes through by guiding you through various exercises that develop your technique, strength, and endurance! So if you're interested in developing your fitness and good health, getting to know some of the ID paddlers, or even just meeting new people to work out with, come to the meeting next Thursday and see what we have in store!

The 2009 Iron Dragons team had yet another successful season, winning pounds of hardware including several cups, plaques, and five medals!

Some highlights of the season include:

• A season best time at GWN of 2:09.50
• Winning first place in the:
  • Milton 2000 m race
  • Milton Bonus 250 m Final
  • TIDBRF University B 500 m Final
  • MIDBRF Intermediate C 250 m Final
  • GWN University Cup
• Many sore arms, backs, and legs

Come visit the Iron Dragons at booth #11 in the foyer of the Bahen Centre on September 6, 2009 between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. Talk to our paddlers, flip through pictures, watch race videos and ogle at the hardware.
