First and foremost, Iron Dragons is a group of students. We are a co-ed dragon boat team from the University of Toronto comprised mainly of engineering undergraduates, but also including a number of students from other faculties. Throughout the year we balance our training with schoolwork, jobs, extracurriculars, and a number of other activities. We strive to be a welcoming and motivating community which helps members grow and improve.

The team reguarly makes appearances at national (Canadian Dragon Boat Championships) and international (Club Crew World Championships) competitions, competing among the higest calibre of dragonboat teams & athletes. The team are 3x Canadian champions, and won nine gold medals and three silver medals at the 2018 CCWC in Hungary. This result, along with the rest of our achievements, was the culmination of months of hard work, training our minds and bodies on and off the boat. During the off-season we spent our days at the gym, on the erg, and in the pool getting stronger both individually and as a team. As we approached the race season, we lived on the boat. We put our blood, sweat, and tears into our practices to prove ourselves on race day. We are proud to call ourselves the Iron Dragons.
