Gold Crew Athlete of the Month: David Chan

January 2016

David is in his second year of civil engineering, and this is his first year on Iron Dragons. The coaches has been very impressed by his dedication towards learning the stroke and developing as an athlete. He’s been showing a lot of potential as a dragon boat paddler and is definitely going to be a great asset to the Gold Crew.

What has been the most enjoyable part of the training season so far?

Definitely the in-boat practices at the beginning of the year.

 

Who or what inspires you the most to go to the gym and improve?

Bart Kwan from JKF

 

What other sports do you enjoy? What are your hobbies?

I love swimming and playing basketball. And e-sports (jk, I don’t play games).

 

What’s your favourite food?

McDonald’s is love, McDonald’s if life (don’t judge me)!

 

What are you most looking forward to this season?

Getting strong as a team and striking for all the golds!
